Caught on the Roadside

I photographed this adult Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) on the side of the road. In the summer, they fish and hunt a lot but when the winter comes they become easily scavengers, cleanning the sides of the roads of dead animals, usually crushed by cars.

They are often accompagnied by ravens whose gatherings can help them finding the spots where the food is :
